What Forgiveness Is and Is Not...


Forgiveness
  • Is the MOST powerful healer of all!
  • Is the prescription for happiness.
  • Frees us from a painful past.
  • Removes the decision to suffer.
  • Makes us the hero, and the victim no longer. 
  • Can improve our physical and emotional health and well-being. 
  • Means not excluding your love from anyone.    
  • Can make miracles happen!


Forgiveness Does Not

  • Mean you agree with the act.
  • Mean you condone their outrageous behavior.
  • Justify what has been done
  • Mean we have to reconcile with them.
  • Mean we forgot what happened.
  • Heal them.  It heals you.
  • Change the past, but it can make the future much happier and brighter.
Choosing Happiness

We want happiness, we want peace, but HOW do we get there?
  1. Stop being critical of ourselves and others from this moment forward!
  2. Remove ALL judgments on how we, and others "should" be.
  3. Forgive ourselves and everyone for everything.  Partial forgiveness leads to partial healing...
  4. Be grateful, truly grateful for each and every blessing in your life!  When we are grateful, more things to be grateful for come our way almost magically!
  5. Compassion -Unconditional love ~ loving and accepting yourself and others for who we are, where we are at this moment, can heal not only ourselves, but the world too.

Remember, no one is perfect.  Most people are really trying their best.  We are all victims of victims.  The majority of healing work typically involves those closest to us...a parent, sibling, spouse/lover or other trusted individual.  Being hurt by someone who did not know how to love you properly really isn't their fault after all.  They cannot possibly teach or be what they do not know themselves.  We are all works in progress.  Please be open to this possibility...


Love is the greatest healer of all...but to get there we must first FORGIVE!
